Tasca d’Almerita Wines

Eight generations, a family with strong ties to two extraordinary sites that also made Sicilian history: Regaleali, a total of 1235 acres (500 hectares), at the centre of the geographic Sicilian triangle, and Villa Tasca (once Camastra) centre of Sicilian social and artistic life in the second half of the 19th century. The Conti (Lords) Tasca have always been at the spearhead of a culture focused on doing, and from the mid 1900s the family expands and specializes to become an organized business, a group of men that invents, produces and spreads across the world the “things coming from the earth” concept, they are bearers of substantiality and consistency, starting from the humbleness of daily toil. Regaleali becomes a wine producer and begins its long history in the production and distribution of Rosso del Conte, Nero d'Avola and Perricone aged in chestnut, stating from early on the vocation to valorise the Sicilian territory and culture, to reach the market success of the Regaleali Bianco, the first, real spokesman of the purest, territory devoted “Made in Sicily”.
